Wes Kandel | Art Director | Designer | Animator

Married since 2004 and the father of two great kids. I’ve worked as a Director, Art Director, Designer and Animator since 2006. Originally from Indiana, I’ve been a freelance artist in Los Angeles since 2010. I’ve spent my time at fine design and animation studios like Disney, Zoic Studios, Imaginary Forces, Prologue Pictures, Logan, Mirada, Mousetrappe and many others. As well as working direct to client.

My work includes cinematic trailers for games like The Elder Scrolls Online, Resident Evil Revelations, God of War III and FireFall. I’ve done broadcast design for live shows like the Academy Awards, MTV Movie Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, The Wiz Live! on NBC and the opening to Sunday Night Football. I’ve designed opening title sequences for shows like Person of Interest on ABC and fictional interface design for Northrop Grumman. I’ve also done concert visuals and music videos for artists like The Strokes, The Weekend, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Panic at the Disco, OKGO, Eminem, Rihanna, Florence and the Machine, Rise Against and Lenny Kravitz. Additionally in 2016, I was an integral member of the design and animation team for the brand new nightly fireworks show at Walt Disney World called “Happily Ever After.” Most importantly, I love to tell stories and I’m always looking for the next adventure.
